Nepal is rich in classical and folk dances. Dance, song and music have a close and interdependent relationship.
Therefore one will be incomplete in the absence of others. A dance based on the ancient precept is known as classical dance. While in Nepal there are several types of classical dances.
In Nepal, different community have their own dances and songs. It means that the song or dance represent the community. For example, 'Deuda Naach', this dance is practiced in Mid-Western and Far-Western region and the dance is performed like holding each other's hand in a circle. Similarly some kinds of songs and dances are performed in a particular season, occasion, and festival or in a particular ceremony.
