Programme Introduction

Multicultural School Sharing

Guest speakers from cross-cultural backgrounds will be invited to conduct sharing to enhance students’ understanding of multi-cultural concepts, cultural awareness and Cultural Intelligence (CQ). We hope students can understand how to face and tackle the conflicts and challenges related to culture.

Stage 1: Hi! Me

Selected participants will form cross-cultural teams to look into and understand the innovative cases from around the world to design how to apply those cases to solve the social problems happening in Hong Kong by using videos to introduce them. This stage enables participants to enhance their understanding of multi-culture, Cultural Intelligence (CQ), Sustainable Development Goals, and Design Thinking, also to enhance their confidence, personal understanding, cross-cultural teamwork, problem-solving skills, and a sense of community involvement and contribution.

Stage 2: Go! Global

Selected participants after completing stage 1 will have the opportunity to join a 5 days 4 nights Singapore learning exchange. Participants will learn how to construct a multicultural city and enhance their sense of global citizenship, global and cultural exposure through interaction with people in Singapore, exploration, and experience to understand more about the local social issues, solutions for tackling those issues, Cultural Intelligence, best practices on multicultural policies, as well as develop their global network.

Stage 3: Wow! WEDO

The closing ceremony will be organized by WEDO GLOBAL Foundation for participants to share their learning experience and outcome with people from Government, Corporates, Community and Schools. They will also share how to promote a multi-cultural and harmonious Hong Kong. Moreover, participants will be able to execute their innovative ideas and introduce Multi-culture and Sustainable Development Goals at school or community, to promote social inclusion.

Designing the tour with a melting pot of modern and historical elements, having frequent rest points, giving a sense of security and satisfaction to our participants are the objectives I became proficient in.

“Improving upon yourself first, then manage your family; govern your state.” I have learned that we should start off by doing our best and ultimately influence people around us, from family to state and also to the world as a whole.

It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for me and I am glad that I got this opportunity. This opportunity enriched my knowledge, made me more open-minded than I already was and more patient. I hope we can get many such opportunities in the years to come and always be happy, equip ourselves with lots of knowledge and then contribute to this society as productive and sincere members of it.

I learned how to be a good leader, such as be a good giver and be a role model, pursue excellence and have adversity. Secondly, I learned how to set a smart goal, such as to be specific, measurable, attainable, relevant and time-bound.Thirdly, in the games in stage one, I learned how to corporate with teammates to win the game. Finally, I learned that I need to be myself at all times and have daily improvements. In the future, I will put my skills to use. I will use my communication skills to talk with others, comfort them when they are in need. I will also use leadership skills when I am in a team and lead them towards the right path.

Our Actions

We continue to work together with people from different cultural backgrounds and sectors, to achieve a more multi-culture and inclusive society.
