We were delighted to organise a Workplace Etiquette Sharing session for the “Empowering Ethnic Minority Youth for Employment – Early Childhood Care and Education for Non-Chinese Speaking Learners” (EMTA) programme of Oxfam Hong Kong. It was an honour to continue supporting this initiative, now reaching its fifth cohort.
The sharing sessions aimed to deepen participants’ understanding of workplace culture in Hong Kong and equip them with essential soft skills for success—especially as they prepare for placements in kindergartens and future career opportunities.

Our Cultural Ambassadors highlighted key workplace soft skills that foster positive relationships with supervisors and colleagues, as well as the right professional mindset. Through personal stories and experiences, they helped participants anticipate and navigate real-world workplace situations with confidence.

“I can really relate to the Cultural Ambassador, her tone and performance is extraordinary, she gave ideas about how to communicate with supervisors.”

"I was able to learn more about positive attitude and mindset with proper time management, setting goals and maintaining communication with the workers and willingness to learn. "
By equipping participants with both soft skills and insights into workplace dynamics, we aim to build their confidence and readiness for future roles. The diverse experiences of our Cultural Ambassadors not only enrich the learning experience but also inspire participants to approach their professional journeys with resilience and positivity. We believe that empowering individuals with knowledge and skills lays the foundation for sustainable community development.
