Do you know what "Rangoli" is? We have organized a Rangoli Coaster Workshop for the students in The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK). A diverse group of students joined us to learn about the traditional Rangoli art, creating their own Rangoli Coaster. The workshop was led by our Cultural Ambassadors and we shared how Rangoli is created at home and during festivals, offering participants an authentic glimpse into South Asian culture.

“This activity introduced the situations of some ethnic minority communities in Hong Kong, allowing me to experience their culture through the creative process.”
One of the memorable parts of the workshop was an open discussion on how different cultures perceive "beauty." As students and Cultural Ambassadors exchanged ideas passionately, forging genuine connections. This perfectly shows how curiosity and open communication enable us to better understand each other's cultures.

“The process of making Rangoli was relaxing amid our busy lives and allowed me to enjoy the feeling of slowing down and focusing on one thing at a time.”

We appreciate the enthusiastic participation of students in learning different cultures. By participating in the workshop, students are not just learning a new art; they are taking steps to build a more inclusive and harmonious society.
