【Media Coverage】Enhancing Cultural Sensitivity to Unlock Opportunities from the Middle East and ASEAN

We are grateful for the media interview by Sing Tao Daily, highlighting the exciting developments in Hong Kong's tourism sector. With the Hong Kong government actively promoting Halal tourism, we are poised to welcome travelers from the Middle East and ASEAN regions.

Hong Kong is ranked fourth among Non-Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) countries in the 2024 Global Muslim Travel Index (GMTI). To effectively prepare for this influx of tourists from diverse cultural backgrounds, it’s crucial that we strengthen our cultural support facilities and soft skills, particularly in cultural awareness.

Cultural awareness is essential for effective communication, especially when engaging with tourists from diverse cultural backgrounds. High cultural sensitivity enables us to build meaningful connections and enrich the visitor experience.

We have seen a 30% increase in requests for our Cultural Sensitivity Training across corporations, universities, and schools. Our training programs are designed to enhance cultural awareness and improve cross-cultural communication skills. We focus on addressing unconscious biases and stereotypes while providing valuable insights into different cultures. Through interactive case studies, participants learn to navigate real-life scenarios and develop effective communication strategies. Through enhanced cultural knowledge and awareness, participants gain confidence and perform better in diverse interactions.

Let’s collaborate to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for both locals and tourists alike!
