"We Explore" Multicultural Tour

To mark the significant milestone of the 30th anniversary of the Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC), the EOC has joined hands with WEDO GLOBAL to co-organise a series of experiential activities titled "We Explore" Multicultural Tour, which will be offered free of charge to the public. The initiative aims to deepen public understanding of different communities in society and to promote the values of equal opportunities, diversity and inclusion.

Our ethnically diverse Cultural Ambassadors will guide you into real-life community spaces—places where many local ethnically diverse residents study, work, shop, and spend time together. Through sharing their stories and everyday experiences, bringing new and meaningful insights into how they view Hong Kong, the challenges they face, and the ways they contribute, giving you a richer understanding of Hong Kong’s cultural diversity.

You are welcome to join with your friends and family members and embark on this unique journey across Hong Kong together!

"We Explore" Wan Chai Multicultural Tour

Wan Chai is known for its cultural diversity, including historical, cultural, and religious architecture. Through engaging stories and everyday life examples, you will gain a deeper understanding of the changes of the ethnic communities in the Wan Chai neighbourhood.

The tour also offers a multi-sensory experience that integrates history, culture, religion, and food, helping participants deepen their cultural knowledge while fostering greater understanding and appreciation of diversity and inclusion.

Target Audience: Aged 11 to 70 (Participants aged below 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian)

Language: Cantonese/ English

Fee: Free of Charge

Feedback from participants:

I learned more about ethnic minorities in Hong Kong and inspired me to be more accepting of different races.

The part that impressed me the most was trying on the headscarf, as it allowed me to personally experience the culture of ethnic minorities.

We rarely get to actually engage in these informative activities, so this was very refreshing and interesting!
