WEDO GLOBAL recently hosted the “MeowMeow Is Missing!” Multicultural Storytelling Workshop for students from Maryknoll Convent School (Primary Section). Through interactive storytelling and lively role-play, the session introduced students to the multicultural community of Yau Ma Tei in a fun and engaging way.

The story followed Little Ching as she explored Yau Ma Tei with her mother. Along the way, she met new friends and discovered the rich cultural diversity of the neighbourhood. Through Little Ching’s journey, students learned the value of community support and the importance of friendship in a diverse society.

“Very clear content and the story is engaging. Students are motivated.” – Teacher
The workshop also gave students the opportunity to interact with WEDO GLOBAL’s Cultural Ambassadors, listen to their growing-up stories, and learn about different languages and cultures. These meaningful exchanges sparked curiosity and inspired students to explore and appreciate the vibrant cultural communities around them. The session not only created an enjoyable learning experience but also encouraged a deeper appreciation for diversity, empathy, and community connection.

“The narrator and actor Little Ching interacted in a lively and engaging way — great job!” — Teacher
We are thankful for all the love and enthusiasm from the students — some even asked if MeowMeow could stay at their school! We can’t wait to bring MeowMeow to meet more students and continue sharing stories that celebrate Hong Kong’s multicultural community.
