Lighting Up Connections: Celebrating Diwali Together with Color

WEDO GLOBAL was delighted to celebrate Diwali with colleagues at HSBC through a Diya coloring workshop. The session brought participants from different cultural backgrounds together to learn about Diwali and with a hands-on activity, creating their own colourful diyas, and celebrating together.

Diwali, often known as the Festival of Lights, celebrates the victory of light over darkness. Guided by our Cultural Ambassadors, participants explored the meaning of Diwali and the role of diyas in its celebrations. They then decorated their own diyas with colourful patterns and wishes.

“It was a wonderful workshop, I was actually able to celebrate and share my culture with other colleagues, it was really good to see them like and celebrate it together!” 

Alongside the creativity, the room quickly filled with creativity and laughter as colleagues from different cultural backgrounds and departments came together and exchanged stories and experiences. Those who celebrate Diwali shared their traditions, while others enjoyed discovering the festival for the first time. These conversations made the workshop more than an art experience, it became a warm space for cultural exchange.
