Celebrating the World Day for Cultural Diversity with Henna

WEDO GLOBAL was delighted to collaborate with WSP to host a henna booth for their colleagues as part of the celebration of the World Day for Cultural Diversity. This special day highlights both the richness of the world’s cultures and the importance of intercultural dialogue in building peace and sustainable development.
At the henna booth, colleagues selected their preferred designs and experienced South Asian henna art firsthand. While drawing Henna, they had the opportunity to interact and exchange with Cultural Ambassadors, learning about each other’s stories. Cultural Ambassadors also shared the cultural meanings behind the art, allowing participants to deepen their understanding in a relaxed and engaging atmosphere. Some colleagues shared that it was their first time trying henna, while others reflected on their past experiences, with everyone enjoying the activity.
Through the cultural experience booth and sharing, participating colleagues were able to learn about the customs and cultures of Hong Kong’s ethnically diverse communities in an interactive and approachable way, fostering meaningful cultural exchange. WEDO GLOBAL looks forward to collaborating with more organisations in the future to enhance cultural awareness and to jointly build more inclusive workplaces.
