Arabic Calligraphy Parent-Child Workshop @ Tseung Kwan O Public Library In this workshop, participants first learnt greetings in Arabic, and learned to write Arabic words. Then, they expressed their creativity by designing their own bookmark with the Arabic words they learnt. For example, one participant created a 'Peace Air’ bookmark featuring his favorite airplane elements, another participant included insect patterns he likes, showcasing their personal characteristics. Through the introduction by Cultural Ambassadors and artistic creation, participants recognized and explored multiculturalism, conveying diversity and inclusion through art. Rangoli Art Coloring Parent-Child Workshop @ Tiu Keng Leng Public Library Cultural Ambassadors first introduced the situation of the ethnically diverse community in Hong Kong, then introduced the South Asian Rangoli Art which comes with blessing, different colors actually came with different meanings. We invited parents to set goals with their children, expressing their hopes and dreams for the future by incorporating vibrant designs into their Rangoli artwork. This collaboration between WEDO GLOBAL and Hong Kong Public Libraries for the 'Asia Arts Innovative Workshop' series has successfully concluded, offering participants valuable opportunities for cultural learning and exchange. • Cultural Sensitivity and Conservation: Enhancing Understanding for a Better Future

Cultural sensitivity is vital for enhancing the visitor experience in the hospitality and tourism industry. Equipping staff with the knowledge, skills, and mindset to engage with visitors from diverse cultural backgrounds significantly improves the overall experience. Enhancing Visitor Experience Through Cultural Sensitivity Training  Earlier this year, we conducted a Cultural Sensitivity Training session for Ocean Park Hong Kong for staff and volunteers from different departments. The aim was to foster understanding and appreciation of different cultures while sharing effective communication skills for interacting with tourists from various countries.  Through the sharing by Cultural Ambassadors, interactive activities and case examples,  during the training session enhanced participants’ cultural knowledge and insights, as well as boosted their confidence in communicating with people from other cultures. Participants also shared their personal experiences of engaging with visitors from diverse backgrounds.  "The questions about the Cultural Ambassadors were very interesting, and I realized there are still many things I am not familiar with." "The sharing from cultural ambassadors were very engaging and fruitful. The content was both interesting and practical, and the activities enhanced interaction with us while also deepening our understanding of different cultures." After learning about different stereotypes and unconscious biases, they become aware of how to approach people from other cultures, as well as simple techniques for intercultural communication skills. This is one of the important steps in fostering respect and inclusion for diverse cultures and backgrounds of visitors, to create a more inclusive and welcoming environment at Ocean Park Hong Kong.  Enhancing Environmental Awareness of Youths In May, we invited youths from diverse cultural backgrounds for an educational sharing session conducted by Ocean Park Hong Kong. Through this session, participants learned about topics on nature and conservation, especially the efforts of Ocean Park in protecting animals and their natural habitats. It increases their awareness of sustainability and conservation. Together, we strive to create a more inclusive and sustainable future for all. #WEDOGLOBAL #OceanPark #Multicultural #CulturalDiversity #Diversity #Inclusion #Training #CulturalSensitivity #InclusiveWorkplace #InclusiveThemePark #Communication #Respect #Collaboration #CulturalAmbassadors #Conservation #Sustainability
