We were glad to host an interactive training workshop for the “Be a Change-maker” (BACM) 2025 program participants, focusing on Nepalese culture to prepare them for the upcoming Nepal Exposure Trip.
BACM is the flagship educational program of Plan International Hong Kong. Since its inception in 2017, the program has empowered nearly 100 young change-makers, equipping them with knowledge, skills, and international exposure through transformative visits to the Philippines, Indonesia, Cambodia, and Thailand. Participants gain invaluable insights into various community issues, their root causes, and the recent strides made toward positive change.
During this enriching session, our Nepalese Cultural Ambassadors introduced the youth participants to the diverse and vibrant culture of Nepal. Attendees learned about the country's geography, greetings, history, traditions, and festivals, which capture the essence of this remarkable nation, as well as its connections to Hong Kong. By equipping them with essential knowledge and insights, we believe this will enhance their exposure experience in Nepal, enabling participants to engage in meaningful interactions with the locals.
We believe this journey goes beyond mere experience; it is about embarking on a transformative path to become global citizens and drive positive change in our communities.
